Any new material from Hidden Orchestra should be ‘highly anticipated’ (especially if you are familiar with their debut album on Tru Thoughts ‘Night Walks‘) so we definitely wanted to share a couple of tracks from their forthcoming EP, ‘Flight’. The atmospheric, complex themes of ‘Night Walks’ continue, especially on the full 7’48″ minutes of the title track, and we are treated to remixes from Floex, Maddslinky, Lost Twin and The Colonel – one of those relatively rare occurrences nowadays where all of the tracks on an EP are top-drawer. The record is released on the 7th November.

We think this is the sort of video that you will either love or hate, but we thought it was worth posting because of our current Kid Creole review: in that post we talked about a few ‘below-par’ tracks which let the album down – if they had replaced them with something like this, then that album would be more than complete. Kenneth Bager manages to captures a strong summer swing vibe (with the excellent vocals of Aloe Blacc backed by a childrens choir) but doesn’t make it overly schmaltzy, and then takes it up a notch with some wierd and whacky images...
