Echocentrics – Echoland (Ubiquity)

The Echocentrics is a project from Adrian Quesada who is also responsible for Ocote Soul Sounds (who we reviewed earlier this year), Grupo Fantasma and Brownout. His debut LP, ‘Sunshadows’ got a lot of media attention, but it was while working on his follow up album that this little collection of songs came into being: in order to get over a bit of a creative block, Adrian decided to rework some Timbaland tracks in his own style, and, buoyed by the results, decided to put together an EP of the output.

‘Echoland’ includes 6 tracks, all of which are instrumental apart from ‘We Need A Revolution’ which has vocals (all sung in Portuguese) from Tita Lima, and which you can download for free from the Soundcloud widget below. You can pick up the full EP from Unbiquity’s own shop or at iTunes.
