Sonar Kollektiv…broadcasting

Essentially billed as a ‘radio show’, this is the third in the ‘…broadcasting’ series from German label Sonar Kollektiv. The difference this time is that it is the label themselves that have curated the tracks. Hence, there are a few from founders Jazzonova, as well as firm favourites Seiji and Umod. At only 10 tracks long it is a pretty short radio show, but they have clearly gone for quality over quantity. Our favourite tracks are the funkier ones, such as Jazzanova‘s ‘Theme From Belle Et Fou’ remixed by Danny Krivit, and the generically-titled ‘Dancetrack’ from Feindrehstar. Overall the album hangs together well and is different enough from the recent ‘The Instrumental Session’ to make it worth considering spending your disposable income on. We just wish it was a bit longer. ‘Sonar Kollektiv….broadcasting’ is available now on (you guessed it) Sonar Kollektiv.
